All-Levels Zimboga Flows

What is a beginner Zimbogi?

Beginners require lots of cueing, lots of corrections, lots of hands on adjustments (optional), lots of time to work on their practice and lots of patience.

Almost all of the flows/classes are beginner friendly. However, I have to make the class challenging for everyone, even the advanced Zimbogis, so there will postures and moves you won’t be able to do yet but you can do something. You can hold & improve the last pose you could do, you can take the modification offered, you can just do something on your own even if it’s a crunch or push-up, or best yet, you can give that move/posture a try… Have fun, play a little, it’s only yoga.

Usually I make up the flows ‘on the fly’ because I can see what the students are doing and I can adjust the posture flow accordingly. This also allows me to give everyone something for their level, basically 3 class levels simultaneously. However, once in a while I want to introduce a new concept, work on something specific or have a theme. For these classes I plan the flows out. Below are some of the ‘all level flows’ I have planned and written out.

Below are some video clips of beginner postures or techniques.

Transition: back of mat to front of mat, Down-dog to Mountain. There is a progression here: walk, hop, hop with light landing.
